Set and Setting Walks

Set and Setting Walks are guided, embodied nature walks aligning body, mind, and spirit to complement psychedelic therapy.

Designed as preparation and integration experiences, these walks invite somatic and archetypal inner work to complement your session (before and after) and promote continued growth through intentional lived experience.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long are the walks?
Set and Setting Walks typically last 60–120 minutes, depending on your needs and the timing
relative to your psilocybin session. The pace is intentional and spacious, allowing for pauses,
guided reflection, and embodied awareness.

How far in advance should I schedule?
Ideally, preparation walks are scheduled 1–3 days before your licensed psilocybin session, and
integration walks within several days following your session. Scheduling flexibility depends on availability. If you are traveling to Boulder for your session, please reach out as early as possible to ensure coordination.

How physically demanding are these walks?
These are not hikes. They are gentle, accessible walks with frequent pauses for grounding, breathwork, sensory awareness, and guided reflection. Routes are selected based on your comfort level and current
health status. As an Adaptive Yoga Specialist, I am experienced in tailoring embodied experiences for a wide range of abilities and physical considerations.

What if the weather is not conducive to an outdoor walk?
Nature is experienced in many forms, and Boulder’s landscape offers beauty in varied conditions. When appropriate and safe, walks proceed with seasonal awareness. If weather conditions are genuinely unsuitable, alternative options may include:
• Sheltered outdoor environments
• Indoor embodied integration sessions
• Gentle adaptive yoga and guided reflection
The intention remains the same: regulated embodiment and meaningful preparation or integration.

Should I do both a Pre-Session and Post-Session walk?
Whenever possible, I recommend both. Psilocybin therapy represents a threshold experience — there is a before and an after.

The preparation walk supports intention clarity and nervous system regulation prior to your session.
The integration walk supports meaning-making, grounding insight, and translating awareness into daily life.
If scheduling does not allow for both, we will thoughtfully tailor the experience to best support your needs.

Does my therapist or facilitator need to be involved?
Set and Setting Walks are designed as adjunct support, not therapy and not facilitation. You are encouraged to inform your therapist or licensed psilocybin facilitator of your participation.
I welcome professional collaboration with providers when appropriate and consented to by the client.

Is this a psilocybin session?
No. These walks do not involve dosing or administration of psilocybin. They are non-clinical, nature-based embodied experiences designed to support preparation and integration surrounding Administration sessions.

Is this therapy?
Set and Setting Walks are not psychotherapy sessions. They are structured, guided embodied experiences that support nervous system regulation, reflective processing, and integration in a natural environment.
If deeper therapeutic processing arises, clients are encouraged to bring those insights into their formal therapy sessions.

Where do the walks take place?
Walks are held in thoughtfully selected locations in and around Boulder — along Boulder Creek,
accessible trailheads, and natural settings along the Front Range. Locations are chosen based on
accessibility, privacy considerations, and alignment with your needs.

Who is this appropriate for?
Set and Setting Walks are appropriate for individuals who:
• Have scheduled or recently completed a licensed psychedelic therapy session
• Desire embodied preparation or integration support

• Value nature as a grounding environment
• Seek a calm, structured, non-clinical adjunct experience
